Total Automation: Technical Sales

This division of the Group promotes the products and services of Total Automation proactively in the worldwide markets. In addition to manufacturing Whessoe brand gauges and numerous other electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems, the Group acts as agents for the following product lines.

This division of the company also specializes in the supply of experienced manpower to the marine, offshore and landbased industries worldwide. Start up teams are provided to major customers particularly in the area of FPSO and FSO conversions, start up and ongoing operations. At any one time, the Group could have in excess of 300 engineering staff deployed under customer's control at locations onshore and offshore worldwide.

Total Automation carries some S$2.5 million worth of stocks ranging from complete Oil Discharge Monitoring Equipment (ODME), Bilge Alarm monitors, pressure and temperature calibrators and transmitters, Leslie controllers, spare parts etc. Many times we were able to close the sales because we have ready stocks for our customers.

We also keep a stock of reconditioned valves in our factory. These can be sold at very competitive prices with immediate availability.

QMI Uniplex Monitor

One of the new products we are launching this year is QMI’s Uniplex Monitor. The Uniplex Monitor works on the same principal as the award winning QMI Oil Mist detection system with Multiplex Monitor. Up to six engine crankshafts may be connected to one detector through pipes. This is a very cost effective way to implement Oil Mist detection and makes our product very price competitive. For engines that have more than six crankshafts, customers can use the new Duoplex Monitor or the established Multiplex Monitor.

Some of the key projects won by the Sales Department in the last year are a Ballast Gas Detection System for a Japanese customer using Auxitrol’s equipment, an ODME system, seven sets of viscosity measurement systems for Shell, Leslie control valves and spares for SBM.
