Workshop Support Services
Total Automation offers
total support to its marine, offshore and land-based customers with
precision machine shops and fabrication facilities. These support
facilities vary in size depending on the size of the operations, with
the major facility being in the Group’s factory in Singapore. The
facilities are managed by experienced managers supported by teams of
highly skilled machinists and fabricators. The scope of its services
ranges from the manufacture of an urgently required control valve plug
and seat through to a new control console.
In support of its
services, specifically in the marine, offshore and petrochemical
industries, the Group has a fully equipped control valve, relief valve
and manual valve reconditioning plant. Valves returned to our
facilities for repairs are inspected, dismantled, examined, glass
blasted, machined, reassembled, pressure tested and certified. To
facilitate these repairs, the Group operates glass blasting machines,
valve test rigs and other associated equipment.
Total Automation, as our
name suggests, covers all types of automation and control equipment
service and repair work. In the field of control valves and relief
valves, the work can involve one large feedwater valve for drum level
control of a ship's boiler, or a contract involving more than 100
control valves from a refinery shutdown. All equipment after repair is
calibrated and issued with Repair Certificates.
In late 2003, the
Company purchased the factory building adjacent to the existing
premises and this was completely rebuilt and expanded as part of the
headquarter's facilities in 2004. By the end of 2004, these facilities
were fully operational, giving the Group approximately 75,000 sq.ft of
work space on a land area of approximately 80,000 sq. ft. These
facilities are available and manned 24 hours a day throughout the year.
Calls for services will be attended to at any hour of the day or night.
All managers and supervisors, including technical staff, can be
contacted by handphones and pagers.
In 2006 the company
again expanded its headquartered operations in Singapore by acquiring a
further adjacent factory. This giving a total land area of
120,000 sq.ft with a built up work space of 100,000 sq.ft. The
site now houses the operations of Total Automation Pte Ltd,
Fischer Engineering, Haven Automation Marine Services, Sea Automation
and Haven Hydraulic & Crane Controls.
